Acadia National Park is home to two campgrounds. Blackwoods and Seawall Campgrounds are located on opposite ends of the park. Both are wood campgrounds with room for both tenting and RV camping (although there are no utility hookups). As an added bonus, these well-groomed camp facilities are within walking distance of the rocky coastline.

From early spring to late fall, the campgrounds provide comfort stations, cold running water, dump stations, picnic tables, fire rings and water faucets. Showers and a camping supply store are within 1/2 mile of both campgrounds.

BLACKWOODS CAMPGROUND
Located on Route 3, five miles south of Bar Harbor; remains open during the off-season at which time facilities are limited to picnic tables, fire rings, pit toilets, and a hand pump for drinking water.

RESERVATIONS:

If you wish to camp at Blackwoods Campground from June 15-September 15, you may reserve sites through Destinet using the following schedule:

During late July and August, plan to arrive at Seawall early in the morning. There is a great demand for campsites and a line forms each morning. As campers check out, others from the waiting line are assigned available sites. Station hours are 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Group Camping:

If you are an educational organization or other formally organized group, you may want to take advantage of on of our group campsites available at either Blackwoods or Seawall Campground.

Group campsites contain 2 - 3 fire pits, picnic tables, and a nearby restroom with cold running water and flush toilets. Rates are $30 per night, per site.

Reservations: Reservations for group campsites must be made through the Park itself and not through Destinet. You can write the Park for a camping reservation form after January 1. Applications must be returned by March 15.

Camping fees are subject to change without notice. Please note that these fees do not include Park entrance fees (not required).
