The Elcourt Bed and Breakfast

THE ELCOURT BED AND BREAKFAST is centrally located in an ALL-SEASONS area of the scenic Rangeley Lakes, Saddleback Mountain, Sugarloaf/USA, Lake Webb and Mount Blue.

WINTER ACTIVITIES:

* Cross-Country Ski * Snowshoe,
and Snowmobile from our back door.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES:
Out and about in western maine...

* A Swimming Hole is within a five minute walk of the B&B.

* Four parks are within walking distance of our home where you can picnic, swim, relax and smell the roses.

* State parks are nearby, where you can enjoy swimming and mountain climbing.

* Small Falls -- a natural Falls and picnic area is a ten-minute ride from our home. This is a great place for a nature walk and refreshing swim.

* The Appalachian Trail is a couple of miles beyond the Falls on Route 4. We offer scheduled pickups and drop offs.

* In Phillips, is Sanders Station, with a section of the original railbed of the Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad. Rides are given in the old rail cars periodically during the summer.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:

* An operating narrow gauge train/museum and an exceptional Historical House are a short walk from our B&B. Our Historical House is one of the finest in the state.

* The Wilheim Reich Museum in Rangeley exhibits equipment and inventions used in that physician-scientist's pioneering experiments. It is a year-round nature study center with a system of trails traversing fields, forest and a woodland brook, and hands-on Discovery Areas for children.

* Many historical museums are located in the western mountains of Maine, which offer a full range of special events and activities year round -- Heritage Days, Autumn Celebration, Blueberry Festival, Christmas Weekend, Ice Cream Social, horse drawn hay rides. These museums house a vast collection of local history, including quilts, trunks of period clothing, hand-woven linens, china shoes, scrapbooks, furniture, paintings, records, etc., of early settlers -- an educational experience for all ages.
