Historical House are a short walk from our B&B. Our Historical
House is one of the finest in the state.
* The Wilheim Reich Museum in Rangeley exhibits equipment and
inventions used in that physician-scientist's pioneering
experiments. It is a year-round nature study center with a system
of trails traversing fields, forest and a woodland brook, and
hands-on Discovery Areas for children.
* Many historical museums are located in the western mountains
of Maine, which offer a full range of special events and
activities year round -- Heritage Days, Autumn Celebration,
Blueberry Festival, Christmas Weekend, Ice Cream Social, horse
drawn hay rides. These museums house a vast collection of local
history, including quilts, trunks of period clothing, hand-woven
linens, china shoes, scrapbooks, furniture, paintings, records,
etc., of early settlers -- an educational experience for all ages. |
