.......A winter wonderland:

Maine is fast becoming New England's cure for cabin fever with an array of old and new winter sport activities in the offering. A holiday tradition may begin with an annual trek "over the river and through the woods" led by a team of sled dogs. Or bring the kids to one of our Choose and Cut Christmas tree farms. Enjoy a shopping tour of Freeport and its decorated streets, cozy restaurants, numerous outlet stores, Delorme Map Co. and, of course LL. Bean. Three ski area's are within an hour drive of our resort.

Snowmobiling is more popular than ever and Cresent Lake Cottages is well located for the snowmobile enthusiast. A connector trail from our resort leads to Maine's marked and groomed trail system (12,000 + miles) and the vast International Trail System (ITS). Once you've arrived at our resort there is no need to trailer your machines. Guests may rent a snowmobile locally and your rental can be delivered. (Please Plan Early!) Outdoor lighting and easy access ensure your machine may be parked safely and conveniently at your cottage doorstep. A woodstove in our lodge provides a nice spotfor "apres trails" warmth, hot munchies and relaxation.

Those who enjoy world class ice-fishing will want to try their luck on Maine's historic Sebago Lake (29,000 acres). The world reknown "Home of the Landlocked Salmon", Sebago Lake also offers some of the best togue fishing found anywhere! Guests of Crescent Lake Cottages can stop at Knights Live Bait Shop along the ten minute ride to Sebago Lake. The entire area offers the fisherman/ women a choice of twenty eight lakes and ponds of various depths and sizes to choose from. Should you prefer to stay near your cottage while fishing; Crescent Lake (716 acres) will provide eastern brook trout and salmon. Nighttime fishing for cusk is also permitted on Crescent Lake.

Romantic Couples seeking a simple "escape weekend" might enjoy a traditional horse drawn sleigh ride (see pix), ice skating, XC skiing, snowshoeing, ol' fashion sledding & tobagganing or just relaxing by the woodstove in one of our cottages. The Lodge is open all winter and is available to all our guest.
