Old Mill Campground and Cabins is located 1/4 mile of Route 15. We are 2 miles south of Rockwood. 18 miles north of Greenville, and 45 miles from the Canadian border.

Old Mill Campground is on the west shore of Moosehead Lake overlooking Mt. Kineo. Our cabins are available year round, with our campground being open from mid-May to mid-October.

In the months of May, June and late September, the landlocked salmon, lake trout and brook trout are biting near the surface. In warmer months of July and August be prepared to troll the deeper waters with leadline or down riggers

For swimming, we have an area overlooking Mt. Kineo that slopes out gently. Making it appropriate for young children.

If you decide to join us this fall for hunting, you will be happy to know that Rockwood is surrounded by paper company owned lands and, because of this, you will NOT find many fences or "No Hunting" signs. You can walk from your cabin to hunting areas or you can travel onto the old logging roads that criss-cross nearby woods.

In the winter months, having direct access to the ITS trail system, snow mobilers can be assured to find well groomed trails right to the doors of our cozy cabins. If snowmobiling is not for you. Squaw Mountain Resort is just a few miles down the road. They offer excellent skiing at very affordable prices, and the view from the top of Squaw Mountain is breathtaking.
