Eight housekeeping cabins and ten campsites scattered
along the shore of remote Frost Pond, in the heart of Maine's North Woods
Your hosts, Rick and Judy Givens

Visitors to Frost Pond Camps will feel they have stepped back in time, when everyday living followed a calmer, quieter pace. The camps have been in operation for over sixty years. Our eight housekeeping cabins and ten campsites are located on the shore of Frost Pond, in the heart of Maine's North Woods. Surrounded by numerous waterways and rugged forests, the pond is thirty-five miles from Millinocket and three miles from any other habitation. The absence of modern conveniences, hassles, and hustle - no phones, no high speed traffic, no deadlines- provides for a relaxing, refreshing vacation. Guests use their time as they choose, for entertainment is strictly do-it-yourself, provided by woods and water in all directions.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER:

CABINS

There are eight cabins which can accommodate from two to eight people. Our cabins are equipped with gas lights, refrigerators, and full size stoves with ovens. All cabins contain linens, and eating and cooking utensils. Water for seven cabins comes from a nearby tap, and each has a clean pit toilet. Coin operated showers are available for cabin and campsite guests. Our eighth cabin has complete indoor plumbing.

CAMPSITES

We have ten wooded campsites with tables and fireplaces directly on the pond shore. The campsites have pit toilets, tap water nearby, and plenty of isolation.

If you are considering a canoe trip on the Allagash or the upper West Branch of the Penobscot River, we are ideally located for your trip and we are well equipped to outfit canoe trips. Ask us for more information. We are also an hour's drive from Baxter State Park and its crown jewel, Mt. Katahdin, the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.
