Welcome to the Jackman/Moose River area of Maine!

The Jackman-Moose River Region is a complete four-season recreational area, surrounded by over 250,000 acres of woodlands, which offers excellent snowmobiling, hiking, hunting, fishing, relaxation and is the hub of the famous "Moose River Bow Trip"

Area residents and merchants are long accustomed to catering to visitors and wish to continue the tradition.

Accommodations in the area are plentiful and varied. Campsites, housekeeping cabins, restaurants, motels, hotels and resort facilities are available.

Access to the Jackman-Moose River region is by car on U.S. Route 201, which is the direct route to Quebec City, or by small plane into Jackman's 2,900' paved runway or on its lakes with float planes.

The fishing is great in our region of Maine!
